2026 Spring Baseball

Welcome to Spring 2026 Smithfield Little League Baseball!

We’re all looking forward to a fun and memorable season of baseball filled with learning, sportsmanship, and community pride. Here’s everything you need to know to get started:

What’s Included for Every Player:

Team Hat & Jersey: Every player will receive a team hat and jersey before their first league game.
Equipment Assistance: The league can provide helmets, bats, and catcher’s equipment upon request through your child’s coach at the start of the season.
What to Bring: All that’s needed is a glove, baseball pants, baseball socks & cleats (sneakers for BlastBall and A Ball).

Parent Code of Conduct

Before registering, we ask all families to carefully review our Parent Code of Conduct. It is vital to us that Smithfield Little League provides a positive, respectful environment for our players, families, and community.

Our league is committed to teaching players the value of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship while representing Smithfield with dignity and pride. Any violations of the Code of Conduct may result in temporary or permanent suspension from attending games.

Please review the full Parent Code of Conduct below and ensure it is understood before completing registration.

Registration Information:

Early Bird Registration for Spring 2026 is now open!

$130 per player for registrations completed by December 31, 2025.
Beginning January 1, 2026, the fee will increase to $140 per player.

Multi-Family Discount: Families registering two or more players will receive a $25 discount for the second player.

Smithfield Little League Parent Code of Conduct

We, the Smithfield Little League, have implemented the following Parent Code of Conduct to emphasize the critical role of parents in supporting their children in sports.

Please read and agree to the following principles:

I will prioritize my child’s enjoyment and not force them to participate.
I understand that the game is for youth, not adults, and will model positive behavior at all times.
I will communicate any health or safety concerns to the coach.
I will learn the league rules and respect them.
I will show respect and courtesy to all players, coaches, officials, and spectators.
I will avoid unsportsmanlike behavior, including taunting, profane language, or refusing to shake hands.
I will ensure my child plays safely and responsibly.
I will teach my child to resolve conflicts respectfully.
I will demand respect for all, regardless of differences in race, creed, color, gender, or ability.
I will celebrate my child’s efforts and teach them that doing their best matters more than winning.
I will never ridicule or yell at players for mistakes or losses.
I will emphasize skill development over winning, especially in younger age groups.
I will support my child’s emotional and physical well-being over personal desires for victory.
I will respect officials and coaches, addressing concerns at appropriate times.
I will refrain from the use of drugs, tobacco, or alcohol at sports events.
I will not coach my child or others unless I am an official team coach.

By supporting these values, we can ensure a positive experience for every child in Smithfield Little League.
